Maran Gas Maritime Inc. (“MGM”) is the Gas Shipping unit of Angelicoussis Shipping Group (“ASGL”). MGM was set up in July 2003 to manage the LNG and LPG carriers of ASGL.
ASGL has a well established track record in shipping dating back to 1947. ASGL’s fleet now comprises bulk carriers, tankers, LNG vessels and LPG vessels. Today it employs a staff of approximately 300 shoreside professionals as well as over 3,700 officers and crew.
Maran Tankers Management Inc.
Maran Tankers Management (“MTM”) is the Oil Tanker Shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group Limited. MTM was established in 1992 to manage the Oil Tankers of Angelicoussis Group.
Angelicoussis Group has a well established track record in shipping dating back to 1947. Angelicoussis’ Group fleet now comprises bulk carriers, tankers, LNG vessels and LPG vessels. Today it employs a staff of approximately 300 shoreside professionals as well as over 3,700 officers and crew.
MTM was the first Greek ship management company to be ISM certified, as early as May 1996.
MTM was the first shipping company in the world to be ISO 50001 certified by LRS.
Anangel Maritime Services Inc.
Anangel Maritime Services Inc. (“AMSI”) is the Dry Bulk Carrier Shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group Limited (“ASGL”), which has a long and successful track record dating back to 1947, when first established by the late Anthony Angelicoussis. ASGL’s fleet now comprises bulk carriers, tankers, LNG vessels and LPG vessels. Today it employs a staff of approximately 300 shoreside professionals as well as over 4,000 officers and crew.
Lloyd’s Register Group Limited (LR) is a technical and business services organisation and a maritime classification society, wholly owned by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to research and education in science and engineering. The organisation dates back to 1760. Its stated aims are to enhance the safety of life, property, and the environment, by helping its clients (including by validation, certification and accreditation) to ensure the quality construction and operation of critical infrastructure.
Historically, as Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, it was a specifically maritime organisation. During the late 20th century, it diversified into other industries including oil and gas, process industries, nuclear, and rail. Through its 100% subsidiary Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd (LRQA), it is also a major vendor of independent assessment services, including management systems certification for quality certificaiton to ISO9001, ISO14001 and OSHAS18001. Lloyd’s Register is unaffiliated with Lloyd’s of London.
In July 2012, the organisation converted from an industrial and provident society to a company limited by shares, named Lloyd’s Register Group Limited, with the new Lloyd’s Register Foundation as the sole shareholder. At the same time the organisation gifted to the Foundation a substantial bond and equity portfolio to assist it with its charitable purposes and it will benefit from continued funding from the group’s operating arm, Lloyd’s Register Group Limited.
Geosystems Hellas (GSH) was established in November 2009 as a Geosystems EU Group Member, commercially providing Erdas/Intergraph and e-Geos (Telespazio Group) solutions, as a distributor and consultant in Greece and Cyprus, covering Photogrammetrical, Remote Sensing and R&D projects. GSH is a pioneer in introducing Information Technology using extensively modern, digital geodata capturing and data processing techniques for production of maps and geographic information systems.
